BABY SHOWER
GAMES

Good Night, Little Baby
(rename it with the Baby's name)

This game helps to bring the shower to a close so play it when it's time for the guests to leave.

Using a very, very long piece of ribbon, ask the Mommy to place a mini baby bottle on the end of the ribbon and begin rolling it up in the ribbon. She continues until all the ribbon is gone and there is one big ball. Ask all the guests to stand and form a circle. The Mommy and the Ribbon Bottle Ball step into the middle of the inner circle.. The ball is handed to one guest who is asked to hold the end of the ribbon. The Mommy begins to unroll the ball as she passes in front of each guest. When the ribbon is finally unrolled and the baby bottle is found, then that guest is the next to be pregnant!

Ice Breakers
...easy, fun, simple -- gets the guests mingling

Puzzle Pieces
Before the party, put a puzzle together. Then select pairs of two puzzle pieces that fit/match each other from different areas of the puzzle. After all the pairs have been selected, take them apart and put all the pieces into a bowl for the guests to select one puzzle piece upon arrival. Leave the puzzle you’ve put together on a table so that as guess match up, they can put those pieces into the puzzle. Game is over when the puzzle is finished.

Shapes
Cut each shape in half, planning on one shape for every two guests. Shapes include baby bottle, rattle, diaper, square, hexagon, circle, rectangle, pyramid, oval, thin strip, thick strip. The same shape can be used if the colors are different, for instance, red square, blue square, yellow square.

Cartoon Character Pairs
On separate pieces of paper, write names of pairs -- such as Charlie Brown and Snoopy; Garfield and Odie; Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse; Daisy Duck and Donald Duck; Dick Tracy and Tess; Blondie and Dagwood; Superman and Lois, etc.

Homemade Baby Food

Making your own baby food gives you the distinct advantage of controlling what goes into your baby's sensitive tummy. You determine how much, if any, sugar and spices your baby gets. Even when found on sale for as low as 50 cents per jar, producing your own is a much less expensive alternative to ready made. Making baby food is actually very simple with a few simple tools: a blender, food processor, baby food grinder or similar machine, a steamer or boiling pot, ice cube trays, and a few minutes of your time.
