Ask the Guests
In the invitation, ask everyone to bring something small
for a "bath theme". These items can be placed
in a large decorated basket or baby bath tub for mommy
to use after the baby is born. The items can include ducky
design baby towels, sponges and more. Ask the guests to
be creative and give a prize to the person that brings
the most unusual and usable small gift.
Send each guest a rubber ducky and ask them to bring
it back ready to tell a story about the mommy-to-be or
the daddy-to-be. Encourage guests to clothe or decorate
their ducky and give a prize for the prettiest, funniest,
and silliest. The decorated rubber ducks will add a fun
touch to the baby's nursery. Remember to ask guests to
sign their name and date on the bottom of their ducky.
Send the invitation inside a plastic shower cap.

Homemade Baby Food
Making your own baby food gives you the distinct advantage of controlling what goes into your baby's sensitive tummy. You determine how much, if any, sugar and spices your baby gets. Even when found on sale for as low as 50 cents per jar, producing your own is a much less expensive alternative to ready made. Making baby food is actually very simple with a few simple tools: a blender, food processor, baby food grinder or similar machine, a steamer or boiling pot, ice cube trays, and a few minutes of your time.
